Our Scanning Unit comprising Consultant Specialists and an in house ultrasonographer is available to all women who have consultations with us, or by direct referral to the scanning unit from other doctors. Our Consultants are all accredited Fetal Medicine Specialists or Gynaecology specialists who work in tertiary referral ultrasound departments in London Teaching Hospitals. Likewise our ultrasonographer has many years experience and is fully accredited.
The Unit provides a comprehensive range of both pregnancy and gynaecology scans using both transvaginal and transabdominal routes as appropriate. A scan based Early Pregnancy Assessments Service is available on request. From routine scans to specialist ultrasound guided procedures, the very highest standards of care combined with explanation and information will be conveyed by our clinicians.
Appointments can usually be made in co-ordination with the consultation. Please contact Reception for more information on our scanning services or fees.
If you are a Consultant or doctor wishing to refer one of your patients to the Women's Wellness Centre for an Ultrasound scan you can download our Ultrasound request form and fax it back to us.
