About Dr Elizabeth Egbase
Dr Elizabeth Egbase is an experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist with ten years of experience in the speciality. She describes herself as a dynamic, innovative and kind clinician passionate about delivering high-quality, equitable women’s health care
Elizabeth graduated MBBs from university college London medical school with an intercalated BSc degree in history of medicine.Â
Her obstetrics and gynaecology training has encompassed several busy hospitals, and she spent two years as a senior trainee at a tertiary hospital in Brighton.Â
Elizabeth also works as a  consultant at the Royal London Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust, the largest NHS trust in England, with a combined delivery rate of 16,000.Â
Elizabeth’s areas of interest include emergency gynaecology, ambulatory gynaecology alongside ultrasound, and minimal access surgery. Her obstetric expertise is in high-risk intrapartum care.
Elizabeth is well known for her expertise in medical education, having completed a Master’s in Medical Education in a Clinical Context with distinction at Queen Mary’s University London. Elizabeth uses these skills to train and develop the next generation of obstetric and gynaecologists and serves as part of the simulation faculty at Barts Health Education Academy.Â
Elizabeth prides herself as an inclusive and compassionate clinician and passionate educator. Currently, she serves as a member of the maternity safety charity – Baby Lifeline Multi-Professional Advisory Panel steering the agenda and work of this nationally renowned and award-winning charity.
Outside of work, Elizabeth is passionate about self-development and yoga and enjoys travel.Â
