About Dr Piers Daubeney
Dr Piers Daubeney specialises in heart disease in fetal life and childhood, with a particular interest in imaging the fetal heart.
In addition to his work with The Women’s Wellness Centre, Piers is a Consultant Paediatric and Fetal Cardiologist at both the Royal Brompton Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He is also an honorary Reader at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College, and has been published extensively in research papers and books.
Before joining Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, Professor Daubeney worked in Australia and Canada.
He trained at Oxford and St Thomas’ Hospitals with postgraduate training at the Wessex Cardiovascular Centre in Southampton, Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne and the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.
Dr Daubeney has a research team and particular interests in the epidemiology and management of congenital heart disease, childhood cardiomyopathy, and drug studies in paediatric heart disease.
Professor Piers Daubeney has developed a leading international research team which has carried out three of the largest multi-institutional studies into childhood heart diseases in the world
